Acton Lane is one of Acton’s most popular roads, with a mixture of residential space, as well as retail, bars and restaurants. The road is very green, and is surrounded by Acton Park. Most homes are terraced, with a mixture of detached and semi-detached, and some have off street parking, and large driveways. Furthermore inside many of the properties they still retain yet more original features including the fireplaces and original wood flooring.
The people living here tend to be those looking to start a family outside of the bustle of London’s City life. With great schools in the area, and open spaces to take the children, this area is great! With its' location so close to the wide open space of the common this area also attracts keen runners, cyclists and other team orientated sports.
With multiple bus routes, and South Acton just a 5 minute walk away from Acton Lane, the areas has great links with the rest of London due to it sitting on the Overground. Central London is just 25 minutes.
The street has its own local shops, most of them independent. An independent food and wine store, pubs such as The Stag, and The Swan restaurant means there are plenty of places to head to for a meal out. A local favourite is the Sparrow Café, and becomes very busy over the weekends.
In short, Acton Lane is a place whereby people tend to stay once they have moved there, with its increasing popularity, and ever rising property prices, this is a fantastic place to live.
