Comyn Road is a pretty tree-lined street off St John’s Road and is a very short walk Clapham Junction Station (British Rail and Overground). The properties on this road vary from three to four period homes to interwar buildings which are currently being regenerated to stunning new build flats. Flats can also be found here, many have been thoughtfully converted with great care to retain much of the period features such as bay windows, original fireplaces and the high ceilings. The road leads to Boutflower road which is off Battersea Rise and is moments away from Northcote road.
Clapham Junction Station is one of the busiest stations in London and there are direct links to Gatwick Airport and London stations, Victoria and Waterloo. There are also many buses that pass by on St Johns Road and Battersea Rise which allow for easy transport to Wimbledon, Putney and Central London. There are also several docking stations for bike hires in the surrounding area, if you would like to cycle to your stop.
With the parking restrictions (Mon- Sat 8.30am – 6.30pm), residents who hold a permit will find it easy to find parking here as commuters are less likely to use this road and the surrounding roads.
At the end of Comyn Road is the high street, St Johns road, which has a number of stores including Waitrose, Superdrug, Waterstones, TK Maxx and even a large department store, Debenhams. On Lavender Hill there is a 24 hour Asda, an array of buzzing bars and excellent restaurants to enjoy an evening out. On Northcote road, there are even more bars and restaurants to choose from, alongside boutique shops.
With the excellent transport links, the number of bars and restaurants and the different shops to choose from, this road is ideal for young professionals wanting to be close to the hustle and bustle.
