Marney Road is a one way residential road opposite the open spaces of Clapham Common and is located between Clapham Junction Station and Clapham Common, It consists of pretty Victorian houses which are mostly owner occupied. Some of these houses have been cleverly converted into flats while still retaining their period features.

At the south end of the street, you have the beautiful view of the common. There you will find a number of fitness classes and boot camps which run throughout the year.

In the summer time, it is a popular spot for families, professionals, children to go to relax and enjoy the sun. It is also home to the music festival, “SW4” and food festivals around this time.

For transport, there are number of bus routes that pass Marney Road heading towards Putney, Brixton and Dulwich. There are also different routes on Lavender Hill which is moments away from the north end of the road.

Clapham Common Station (Northern Line) and Clapham Junction Station (British Rail and Overground) are both roughly a 15 minutes’ walk away. Alternatively, the buses off the road can take you outside both stations.

This tree lined street also has permit parking limitations (Monday to Friday 9.30am- 5.30pm.) to avoid issues for residents when parking. A ticket can be bought with a maximum stay of two hours.

As the road is right in between two areas, residents have a choice of an array of retail shops, restaurants and bars in two different locations. There are also a number of schools close by, such as Belleville Primary School, Eaton House, The Manor School and Parkgate House School.

With all this in mind, it is no wonder, the road is becoming increasingly popular with young professional and families.
