Strathblaine Road is a residential street, perfectly located just minutes away from Clapham Junction station (National Rail and Overground) and the various restaurants and bars on St Johns Hill, St John Road, Lavender Hill and Northcote Road. The properties on this road are mainly large period conversions, all with three to floor floors. At the north end of the road are double fronted properties which have been converted into superb flats. Most of these properties have been newly refurbished within, however owners have still kept the period features, such as large bay windows, tall ceilings, and original fireplaces.
For parking purposes, only permit holders can park Monday to Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm or drivers can pay and display. However most residents commute using Clapham Junction station, the busiest station in Europe, which has direct links to Waterloo and Victoria. There are also a number bus routes going to destinations such as Victoria, Wimbledon, Putney and Richmond. In addition, the bus 87 runs 24 hours from Wandworth to Aldwych. Santander also have several docking stations surrounding Strathblaine road, should locals want to cycle.
As Strathblaine Road is located moments away from the four main roads of Clapham Junction, residents have a number of buzzing bars, independent coffee shops, tasty restaurants and trendy shops to choose from. On Northcote road, there are a number of bars where professionals flock to on a Friday night after work, chain restaurants, such as Byron and Franca Manca and clothes shops, such as Whistles and Jigsaw. On St Johns Hill, there are also a number of restaurants serving foods such as traditional Thai, Spanish tapas and Modern Eritrean food. Lavender Hill is where the large 24 hour Asda is located and the department store, Debenhams.
The road is full of young professionals wanting to be on the doorstep of all the facilities of the area, but still tucked away from the busy roads.
