April 16, 2019

As we are well into the swing of things with April it is time to consult our yield map and look at where the top places to purchase property in London are. This month sees areas in the North and South coming out on top but there are always pockets to be explored in London, try it yourself my using our yield map

North

Enfield 4.5%

Situated in outer North London, Enfield is an area with plenty of transport links and claims to be one of London's greenest boroughs, giving you the best of both worlds if you live in Enfield and can benefit from the quick links into the city and the open spaces at the weekend. Transport in the area is only set to improve as it grows in popularity, currently it takes just 34 mins to get to Liverpool St from Enfield Town. The area has many affordable Victorian and 1930's houses and a buzzing town centre.

East

Leyton 4.2%

With reasonable property prices Leyton is a hotspot that is selling fast and only set to keep going up! Leyton has a vibrant town and an easy route into the centre of London, just 14 minutes (five stops) on the central line to Bank Underground Station. Thanks to the Olympics seven years ago, Leyton saw massive regeneration and change in the town centre, along with it's neighbours Walthamstow and Strafford who also received preferential treatment in the lead up. This has helped the area grow and bring further tourism, leading to more money for the town.

South

Morden Park 4.5%

South of the River Thames, in the district of Morden in the London Borough of Merton lies the expansive Morden Park. It is just a three minute walk from Morden tube stop at the end of the Northern Line. The convenience of the Northern line and within easy reach of Wimbledon village makes Morden Park a popular area for families to move to. With a quieter leafier style of living amongst the 1930's suburban housing. And, if you're one for Guy Fawkes day, Morden Park hosts a stellar fireworks display every year so be sure not to miss out!

West

Brentford 4.2%

Not to be confused with the Brentford in Essex, made famous by the ITV show, The Only Way Is Essex. Brentford sits in West London, it is very well connected with 6-7 trains running every hour into London Waterloo, taking as little as 25 minutes. The M4 runs past Brentford, with the M25 and Heathrow Airport close by. Kew gardens, a tourists must, is next to Brentford, you'll also be near Twickenham Stadium and the River Brent.
