Best Rental Yield Areas This June In London

June 28, 2019

We have taken a look at our yield map to see the hot spots for investment in London from June.

As with every month, we have picked out four areas of interest, but you can also check out the map for yourself here.

North

Camden Town 3.7%

Camden Lock hosts one of the most famous markets, sitting next to the canal where there is always a flurry of action with boats coming up and down the canal. However, it is not just the boats to look out for, Camden hosts some of the most eccentric but also some of the most famous, having been home to Amy Winehouse. The location is perfect, you can be in central London, London Zoo and Regents Park all within around 10 minutes, os it's no wonder it's a popular choice for those moving to London, along with tourists. All this and we haven't even mentioned the food! If the market hasn't already sucked you in and you find yourself along Parkway there are an array of delicious restaurants to settle any hangry customers. To help you out we have a picked a couple of our favourite, if you're after a hearty Italian try Goodfare, if it's more of a mezze meal with fruity cocktails, don't miss Laz. Even better for you, they're both Portico Places so be sure to bring your card along for discounts.

South

Loughborough Junction 4.2%

Just North of Brixton is the lesser-known Loughborough Junction, where the amenities and transport links are still aplenty, but the property prices are lower. Loughborough Junction is on Thameslink, with trains heading to Farringdon, Blackfriars and St Pancras, all in under 18 minutes. Loughborough Junction has come a long way from just a few crossroads, it is now a fast and vibrant area in its own right, with many independents popping up and even a microbrewery! There are plenty of green spaces around Loughborough Junction, in particular, the award-winning Ruskin Park, with its very own bandstand, hosting regular concerts in the summer. The music doesn't just stop at the bandstand, The Junction Pud on Coldhabour Lane is known for their regular jazz nights, delicious food and locally brewed ale, the perfect mid-week treat! The area is certainly up and coming, but it is coming quickly, so now is the time to buy whilst prices are lower than Loughborough Junctions neighbours.

East

Stratford 4.7%

The area was completely regenerated for the 2012 Olympics and seven years on the market is still strong, with its quick connections into the city and the opening of Westfield Shopping centre, offering plenty of jobs in the area. East End's Stratford went from an area missed off most peoples list when looking to move in the city, to be a hot spot for buyers and tourists alike. Comparatively, property prices in Stratford are still low but rents are on the rise, so now is the time to invest.

West

Uxbridge 4.4%

Situated in the outer borough of Hillingdon lies Uxbridge, at the end of the Metropolitan line - already a bonus as you benefit from the cool carriages, wider trains and getting on at the beginning of the line means no shoulder barging to get yourself a seat. Although a borough of London the area has a community feel and is within easy commuting distance of the city making it a popular area for many to move to as families grow. Uxbridge is not only well-connected to the city but also Heathrow and you can be in the countryside in a matter of minutes as Uxbridge borders Buckinghamshire, so plenty of opportunity to escape when the rat race gets too much.
