Are you living in a celebrity neighbourhood of London?

June 4, 2018

London is home to its fair share of the rich and famous, scattered around the capital. From the sleepy towns of North London to the swanky streets of West London, read on to find out the celebrity neighbourhoods you could be living in.

Notting Hill

In West London sits the trendy Notting Hill, well-known for its incredible carnival each year which celebrates its Caribbean roots. Home to numerous celebrities, this area is full of gorgeous traditional Victorian terrace houses and private garden squares. The likes of Richard Branson, Robbie Williams and Stella McCartney live here due to its luxurious yet trendy vibe.

Regents Park

In the heart of North London and under the desirable N1 postcode, is Regents Park. Located in a handy location close to central London by foot, it is home to some of the world’s most famous individuals. Singers Paul McCartney and Lily Allen both call Regents Park home, as well as Scottish actor Ewan McGregor. Throughout the year, Regents Park is one of London’s best hotspots, and is one of the city’s most luxurious areas.

Set in the far West corner of London is Richmond, home to the famous Richmond Park and an area densely populated with celebrities. With stunning houses and popularity through the roof, the exclusive area is home to many celebs. Living around Richmond Park are Mick Jagger, Colin Firth, Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock to name a few! The area is stunning, and miles away from the busy inner-city life, so it comes as no surprise that they live here.

Belsize Park

Sat in the Borough of Camden is Belsize Park. A more tranquil location, Belsize Park is home to quirky independent shops and lots of large parks. A family-friendly area, it's no surprise that this is home to family man Chris Martin who own a £7 million house here.

East Dulwich

On the complete opposite side of town, Dulwich has been home to some rather famous faces over the past few years. The South East London town is known as a great area to bring up a family - with good schools, parks and boutiques on offer. Tom Cruise himself has lived there, as well as James Nesbit and Steve Frost. Dulwich gives a suburban feel, but with proximity to some of South London's most popular hotspots of Brixton and Greenwich within easy reach.

Highgate is a suburban area of North London at the top corner of Hampstead Heath. One of London’s sleepier areas, Highgate is steeped in history and offers quaint pubs and a village-feel, which is rare so close to central London. Kate Moss, Jude Law and Sting all call Highgate home.

Holland Park

Arguably the area of London most densely populated by the rich and famous is Holland Park. Homes can fetch up to £30m to £40m and rightly so. The likes of Elton John, Simon Cowell, Robbie Williams, Sir David Attenborough, Keira Knightly and Stefano Gabbana call this area home. It’s clear that Holland Park is the place to be if you want to live amongst the stars!

Kensington & Chelsea

It comes as no surprise that one of London’s main celebrity hotspots is South West London’s main areas, Kensington and Chelsea. The most wealthy and famous celebrities out there, such as the likes of Bernie Ecclestone, David and Victoria Beckham and Kylie Minogue all live in the area. Just outside of the Central London, the area is home to exclusive restaurants and members club, the infamous Harrods, many of London's historic museums and stunning properties. Chelsea and Kensington's reputation as a desirable place to live precedes it.
