Why Portico Host?

If you’re a landlord who favours traditional long-let tenancies, it’s still wise to use Airbnb to maximise potential revenue. For example, if your property becomes vacant in the quieter months, we recommend listing your property on Airbnb and synchronising your tenancy to start a long-term let in the summer or late summer when demand from tenants and therefore prices are highest.

Alternatively, if your property is already on the market, why not earn on Airbnb until you let or sell it? Every day it’s sitting vacant is potentially losing you money, so it really does pay to get on board with Airbnb in short-term.

2. We have a local presence near your property

How Do I Get Paid?Airbnb Management

You’ll begin earning as soon as we confirm your first booking, receiving the payment directly into your bank account minus Airbnb’s 3% charge + VAT. Then at the end of each month after you’ve been paid, we’ll take our fee + VAT from your total earnings and the cleaning fee paid by the guests.


Case Study

Our customers range from professionals living abroad and business people working in the City, to those who have never used Airbnb. Here is an example of a case study for one of our lovely customers, Alan:

We managed Alan’s property in Islington from January to March 2017. He had plans to work in Tanzania until the late summer and so wanted to let his property out while he was away. Initially he was looking for a short-let but the market was relatively quiet and his property was sitting vacant. Alan therefore decided to put his property on Airbnb to earn some extra cash until he let his property, and in the process synchronise his tenancy to begin in spring when tenant demand would hopefully pick up.

Alan’s property has been a fantastic earner on Airbnb, occupied for around 75% of each month at around £150 per night. But best of all, by the time Alan reached his 90 day limit on Airbnb, we had secured him a short-term tenant for the remaining three months, maximising his potential income.
