As the days are getting longer and the daffodils are beginning to appear, we explore what’s happening in and around London this March - which has also been revealed by Rightmove as the strongest month to sell!
1. Celebrate St.Patrick’s Day
Although the 17th March is not a public bank holiday in England, you can join in with the St.Patrick’s Day celebrations in London on Sunday 13th March with the St. Patrick’s Day Festival. Now in its 19th year, the Mayor’s St. Patrick’s Day festival is the largest celebration of Irish culture and community in Trafalgar Square. The event is free to enter and showcases the best of the Irish arts, performance, culture, food and music.
2.Six Nations Final
The Six Nations Tournament will conclude with France vs England on 'Super Saturday' on Saturday 19th March at 8pm. Why not explore some of London’s best high streets in lively areas such as Northcote Road in Battersea or King Street in Hammersmith to watch the final game?
3.Mother’s Day

4.International Women’s Day
Alongside Mother’s Day, International Women’s Day on the 8th March celebrates and commemorates the countless achievements of women around the world. Why not attend the WOW: Women of the World Festival running from the 11th-13 th March at the Southbank Centre? Billed as ‘the world’s biggest, most comprehensive festival celebrating women, girls and non-binary people’, the festival brings together activists, musicians, comedians, writers and other distinguished speakers for three days of invigorating conversations, workshops and performance.
6.Retextured Festival
Running from the 24th-27th March, the Retextured Festival is a multi-venue, multi-sensory festival combining experimental electronic music, modernist and industrial architecture as well as innovative lighting installations for ‘an arresting visual and sonic experience’. The festival will be located at the Southbank Centre on 24th March, Printworks on the 25th March and finish at Fold on the 27th March.
7. Attend the Eat & Drink Festival
Are you a foodie? Treat yourself to a day in foodie heaven and join TV chefs such as Lisa Faulkner, John Whaite, Olly Smith and Rosemary Shrager plus many more for live demonstrations, street food stalls galore as well as mixology all under one roof from 11-27 March 2022 at Olympia London.
