Barter street is a very small quiet street on the corner of Bloomsbury and only a short walk to Covent Garden. This T shape street is mostly used for commercial use, with companies like Brion & Co Solicitors who specialise in immigration, litigation and matrimonial matters.
The only residential development on the street is Lytton Court. This modern development has 12 flats and is an extremely well cared for development. It further benefits from a lift to all floors, with some flats having underground storage and parking.
On the corner of Barter Street is Swedenborg House. This very unique building has a book shop, library, museum and event space for hire; you can become a member for only £20.00.
Two sides of the T shape street surround the Bupa head office. The ground floor has a state of the art gym and you can clearly see the staff working up a sweat throughout the day! You are also only a short walk away from a Sainsbury’s supermarket and there is an extremely large selection of local restaurants, one of which is the Dutch House, famous for its pancakes offering sweet and savoury varieties and was established in 1958.
There is a wide selection of banks, fast food establishments and designer mens and ladies shops all within a short walk.
Transport links are extremely good; you are only a few minutes’ walk to Holborn station and Barter Street is in a fantastic position for bus routes nested between a few busy interchanges. You are able to get a bus to most of central London 24 hours a day.
