Arlington Road is a historical prominent road in the popular location of Camden. It features a mixture of residential, commercial and retail units, and a mixture of architectural styles. The majority of the residential buildings however are handsome, Victorian four-storey terraced houses. To the north end of the street where it crosses Parkway you’ll find a few retail/commercial premises such as the Mecca Bingo Hall, Jeju Hairdressers/Art Gallery, a travel agent and the historic Arlington House. Arlington House opened in 1905 as a hostel for homeless men, and it is the largest remaining hostel from the Rowton Houses. The property was re-developed and re-opened in 2011, still featuring hostel style accommodation but also mixed with business units, artist studios and conference facilities. Arlington House also features on the first line of local Camden Madness’s song ‘One Better Day’. This end of the Road also homes the stunning glass building. The southern end of the road is predominately residential houses, but you also have the access to the Marks and Spencer car park.

Parking wise, the majority of the road is permit holders only but there are a few pay and display bays on both ends of the street. This is due to the fact that there are Tube lines on both ends of the street, so you are only ever around a 5 minute walk to a station - either Camden Town or Mornington Crescent Tube (Northern Line Zone 2). The street is also only a short walk to excellent bus links.

Families and professionals tend to be the typical residents, especially as the highly regarded Cavendish school is situated on this road. It’s a preparatory school and will take girls from the age of 2 years 9 months to 11 years, plus sibling boys up to the age of 7. The close proximity to local restaurants, supermarkets, cafes and shops make it easy to see why Arlington Road is such a popular location, plus it’s also only a stone’s throw from the beautiful and peaceful Regent’s Park. This area of Camden is a very popular area to live and is classed as highly desirable. Properties here do not stay on the market for long.
