Hayes Grove is a private development, fantastically located in the heart of East Dulwich. Set off Copleston Road and moments from Lordship Lane, Hayes Grove enjoys privacy, while remaining incredibly well situated.
The development itself was built in the early 2000s, as a collection of modern, new build properties. The properties vary from apartment blocks with communal parking, to townhouses with private gardens and garages. The variety of properties attract a variety of residents. Whereas the location used to predominantly home tenants, we have seen a gradual shift toward owner-occupiers and long-term residents. This is simply down to the fact that there is so much demand in the area.
Hayes Grove is well-suited to working professionals due to the convenient access to central London it benefits from. East Dulwich Overground station is approximately a five minute walk away, for quick, easy access around London. Hayes Grove also benefits from a regular bus service via Lordship Lane, as another means of access throughout south east/south west London.
Hayes Grove also attracts a large number of young families. The new-build townhouses are much larger than the typical Victorian Terraces you’ll find in the area, and the townhouses tend to boast private driveways and garages, which young families love. Hayes Grove is also incredibly close to a popular local Primary School. Goose Green Primary School is around a five minute walk away from Hayes Grove and was very highly rated by Ofsted during its last inspection.
Hayes Grove is an enviable location, as it benefits from both East Dulwich and Peckham Rye local hotspots. Bellenden Village is becoming increasingly popular for its local offerings to residents, in the form of independent cafes and restaurants. Hayes Grove also benefits from being walking distance to Peckham Rye Park. The park is a fantastic place for dog walks, or picnics in the summer, and provides a very scenic jogging/cycling route, too.
