Forest Gate in east London is becoming the top choice for the capital's renters due to its affordability and improving transport links; access to the City and Docklands is quick and easy via Forest Gate station, and Wanstead Park station offers direct access into north London. Residents here are spoilt for choice, with three train stations barely half a mile apart: Forest Gate, Wanstead Park and Maryland station.

What’s going on in the area?

•At the moment the biggest hype in the area however is the imminent Crossrail station, which will face our office! The Elizabeth Line will be fully operational in 2019 and will include fast trains to Tottenham Court Road, Paddington and a host of other popular central London locations

•If you’re thinking of moving to the area there are some great amenities and attractions nearby. The new Westfield shopping centre in Stratford, which is the largest in Europe, is just down the road, and the Olympic Stadium is set to host the IAAF World Championships in Athletics and the World Para Athletics Championships. Depeche Mode, Robbie Williams and Guns N Roses will all have concerts there in the summer
