The start of a new year always brings a ‘new year new start’ approach and 2017 has proved to be no different than previous years.
January kicked off with a bang and so far we haven’t seen any signs of stock levels slowing down – in fact quite the opposite!
While demand still remains high, we are noticing supply outweigh demand, so it is now more important than ever that stock is priced correctly so homes don’t sit on the market for too long.
Rental trends in Fulham are showing that one and two bedroom flats are most in demand, and applicants are on the hunt for quality. Properties which are looked after and well maintained are flying off the shelves, so it is important for landlords to remain competitive by giving their properties the occasional ‘face lift’ with a fresh lick of paint or modernisation.
Our Portico handymen have been busy at work getting stock in tip top shape and we have noticed that these touch ups are really having a positive impact on prices.
We expect things to quieten slightly later on in the year in the run up to Easter but this will be temporary and will give people just enough breathing time before it kicks off and we welcome the busy summer market.
