Albion Mews is a quiet little mews set back off Thornhill Road. The properties here are mainly two or three bedrooms houses, most of which come with a private garage for parking. There are only a handful of houses in the mews, mostly with owner occupiers in place, and with only three houses sold in the last few years it’s easy to point out that people who live here usually stay put for the long term. Being tucked away quietly off of Thornhill Road adds to the village feel that resonates throughout Islington.
Given that the houses here have their own garages to park, people tend not to need permits for the surrounding area, although these can be obtained from the council. The small private road means that no cars are parked outside houses making access for residents easy. Most people will use the transport links available on Holloway Road or Upper Street for their commutes.
The high level of owner occupiers amongst this select number of properties make this a pleasant place to be located for those with families. The local area has many well-established schools, and just round the corner is The Albion Pub, its leafy green exterior and warm log fires inside making it a popular place for locals to enjoy their Sunday lunch.
Albion Mews is just a short walk to Highbury & Islington station which provides access for the London Overground line into the City and West London, and the Victoria London Underground line that connects the north of the city with the south. For those that need the Northern line on the Underground network can take a 10 minute walk to Angel tube station. With its excellent transport links and all local amenities within walking distance, Albion Mews is well located.
