Basire Street is located between Essex Road and Regen’s Canal in a predominantly residential part of the area. You can also hop on a London Bus route which operate in the area, with several services an hour heading to Victoria, the City, Waterloo and Moorgate. There’s links to Dalston, Hackney and Highgate also.

The main place for your local amenities would be Essex Road. There are a number of supermarkets here, making the weekly shop convenient, as well as other useful services like a dry cleaners, grocery stores and gyms. For those looking to live near a green space there is Rosemary Gardens, which is the biggest open space in eastern Islington. Here you’ll find people hiring out the football pitch or tennis courts, or joggers and locals taking their dogs for a walk. There’s an outdoor gym there too. If you fancy a nice cool drink in a traditional local pub then look no further than the end of the street – on New North Road there is the North By Northwest Pub, which has the added benefit of a beer garden – great for summer.
