Batchelor Street is in a prime Islington location, moments from Islington’s main shopping high street, close to excellent transport links and with many green spaces all within walking distance. The buildings here are a mix of Georgian and Victorian style. You can tell them apart by the Victorian terracotta brickwork and typical Georgian terraces. The blossom trees that line the road add to the appearance of the street.
As if living in central Islington is not enough to sell the location, the transport links here are excellent too. Angel tube station is two minutes away, giving you the Northern Line. Highbury & Islington station is a 15 minute walk, again with underground links on the Victoria Line but also the London Overground. King’s Cross is also within a 20 minute walk. There are several bus routes operating in the area as well, adding to the convenience. The West End, Waterloo, the City and Camden are all connected to routes that stop near Batchelor Street. There’s parking on the road too, but you will need to purchase a resident’s permit from the council.
Upper Street is practically on the doorstep, yet far enough to keep the busier neighbourhood away from the street. Here you can enjoy the variety of restaurants, markets, pubs, bars, cafes, theatres, cinemas and much more! In particular a favourite of Portico’s is Rosa’s Thai Café on Theberton Street. With everything that the area has to offer, great local schools, superb transport links and all amenities that you would need, this is an ideal location for singles, couples, students or families.
