Charlton Place is quietly located on one of Islington’s most prized streets between Upper Street and Colebrook Row.
It is a 0.2 mile walk to Angel Underground station, which services the Northern Line and Islington's Upper Street with its abundances of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.
The street consists of beautiful 18th century Georgian terraced houses which form a soft arc, hence why most of the houses are Grade II listed.
Charlton Place intersects with Camden Passage, which hosts a variety of independent boutiques and antique market stalls, including an antique and collectable market which is held every Wednesday and Saturday.
There are also a few shops located on Charlton Place itself, including Hexagone which stocks a variety of homeware and hand-picked products celebrating French design, heritage and craftsmanship.
Cloud Cuckoo Land is another notable shop which has been trading in the area for over 30 years. They have a wide range of clothing available, but specialise in 50's and 60's embellished cocktail dresses and hats.
Foodies will be pleased to know that there are a great selection of eateries nearby, Byron Burger is on the corner and just a few metres into the Passage you can find The Breakfast Club, The Coffee Works Project, Pistachio and Pickle Dairy and Sushi Show - and that’s to name but a few.
On the opposite side of Upper Street is the Business Design Centre which was built in 1862. Originally the Royal Agricultural Hall of London, it is now one of London’s most popular exhibition and conference venues which hosts hundreds of events yearly.
Within a two minute walk you will also find both the church and Primary school of Saint John the Evangelist. Both have a fantastic community feel and welcome new residents with open arms.
Charlton Place is nestled amongst some of Islington’s best green spaces and parks, while having the City, Regent’s Canal and the increasingly popular Upper Street right on your doorstep. These are just a few of the reasons that make this beautiful residential area a wonderful place to live.
