Colebrooke Row is a lovely street that runs parallel to two small community maintained gardens: Duncan Terrace Gardens and Colebrooke Row Gardens. Many of the properties along here are houses with three, four and five bedrooms, with a large percentage of owners still living in them. In addition to these houses, there are a number of converted flats which have been done to an excellent standard. The towering willows and pink blossom trees add to the charm of this beautiful road.
Parking along this road is split between permit holders only and pay and display spaces. Those who live in the area can get a permit from the council on Upper Street, otherwise a maximum stay of 4 hours can be paid for. A huge attraction to street is that Angel Tube station is 2 minutes’ away, meaning commutes into the City can be done within a few minutes.
The high number of owner occupier households here, coupled with the area’s excellent primary schools make this a very popular part of Islington for families. The proximity to Upper Street does attract a diverse range of people, with young couples and single professionals also taking up the flats along the street.
Given the prime location, the fact it’s such a short walk from transport links at Angel and vibrant Upper Street, Colebrooke Row has a privileged position within central Islington. There are fresh attractions sprouting up left, right and centre and in surrounding areas such as the Islington Canal Basin. A truly exciting place to live.
