Goswell Road is a long street that runs north from the border of the City of London through Clerkenwell, crossing Old Street to Angel.
Goswell Road is mainly occupied by offices and shops, though the main campus of City University London is located on the road which makes the area popular with students due to the vibrant Islington and Kings Cross areas being within easy reach. Goswell Road additionally is the address for the central library of the Society of Genealogists which has assisted with helping family historians for over 100 years.
Goswell Road is host to several gyms such as The Gym Group and Virigin Active which are popular with local workers and residents. Goswell Road also is home to a Metropolitan Police Service.
Being so close to the City, Goswell Road is very well connected for transport links. Several buses serve Goswell Road, including the number 4 which heads past St Pauls to Waterloo and the 56 which runs to St Bartholomew's Hospital. Towards the North of the street you will find Angel tube station where the Nothern line branch will take you to the City and Kings Cross in minutes. Towards the south is Barbican Tube Station from which the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan Lines run.
Being so close to Angel and Barbican there is plenty do in the area. Exmouth Market in Clerkenwell is right on the door step and comprises of an array of independent shops, fashion and lifestyle boutiques, gift shops to cafes bars and restaurants. The Barbican Centre is also just moments away and offers two theatre spaces which host a range of dance and drama acts.
Due to its central location and excellent amenities Goswell Road often attracts a wide range of residents from professional city workers to students.
