Tucked behind Regents Canal and Barnard Park is Leirum Street, a small street with mainly purpose built developments in Islington. The location itself is great, being close to the canal and having one of Islington's largest green spaces practically on the doorstep. It's also heading towards King's Cross making it one of the best locations in the area for transport. It's still an N1 postcode though, which means it is in one of London's most desirable boroughs to live.
King's Cross itself offers links on the Circle, Hammersmith & City, Victoria, Metropolitan and Northern Lines on the London Underground, as well as being the main terminal to access East Coast Railway Line, providing links to Scotland, Yorkshire and the North East. Angel tube station is within a similar walking distance in the opposite direction and has access to the Northern Line also. Buses are easy to catch from nearby, running along Copenhagen Street, with routes heading to Camden, West End and the City in regular service. Parking here is for residents only, but a permit is easily obtained from the local council for a fee and there are a number of pay and display bays nearby if you have guests over.
The surrounding area offers plenty to its residents - green spaces and canals aside, there's Upper Street, the main pulse for Islington. Here you can enjoy a freshly ground cup of coffee from one of the many independent coffee shops, grab a glass of wine with some friends on a sunny Saturday afternoon in a beer garden at one of the bars and pubs, or enjoy a fine dining experience in a top London restaurant. There's also the Almeida and Sadler's Wells theatres.
With a great location and excellent transport, this is a good spot looking to be within easy reach of the City.
