Despite being dug up during the second world war to allow for the building of raid shelters and again being partially cordoned off following construction of the Victoria line as a ventilation point, Milner Square garden remains a small escape complete with park benches, a small football pitch and park. Plentiful restaurants and bars are just around the corner with delightful Turkish cuisine being provided by Mem and Laz brasserie and the popular Rosa’s Thai being found on the neighbouring Theberton Street.
