Offord Road is a tree-lined street located in the heart of Islington. Towards the Liverpool Road end you will find stylish duplex apartments standing next to beautiful red brick Victorian mansion blocks. As you move along the road you will notice the architecture swap between Victorian and classic Georgian terraces.
Transport links are excellent; there are four Tube stations within walking distance. Offord Road is moments from the Caledonian Road and Barnsbury London Overground station, and Highbury & Islington (Victoria Line, London Overground) and Caledonian Road (Piccadilly Line) are both a 5-7 minute walk in opposite directions. Angel (Northern Line) is about 10 minutes away and London King’s Cross is 15 minutes or so. For those who don’t fancy a walk, London buses regularly run routes through the area, with buses stopping at the end of the road.
Running between Liverpool Road and Caledonian Road, this street has a lot going on in the immediate area. For a start, it is set in the popular area of Caledonian and Barnsbury. Here you will find a diverse group of residents. Families still occupy the terraced houses which have not been converted into flats, and those flats that have been divided into multiple dwellings are usually occupied by professional couples or sharers. Some students also reside in the area, given its easy access to the nearby London Metropolitan University campus on Holloway Road. At the end of the street is the cosy Hemingford Arms, which regularly plays host to quiz nights and big-screen sporting events. The pub is also known for its delicious Thai curry.
Offord Road is also just a short walk from major supermarkets, local gyms, tasty restaurants, quirky little bars and cafes, and vibrant and sociable Upper Street. With so much happening here, people who buy and rent in these parts end up staying for a long time.
