Studd Street, a small row of flats and houses tucked away behind the ever popular Upper Street, smack bang in the heart of Islington. With just over a dozen addresses on this petit road there tends to be a small turnover of residents, most who are attracted to the location.
Once a small back road, Studd Street will now be one of the main entrances to the brand new development on the old Royal Mail site, known now as Islington Square. The gentrification of this part of Islington will see hundreds of new apartments, new shops and restaurants, making this an exciting place to be and no doubt an area that will continue to grow in value. Parking here is strictly for residents only, a permit of which can be obtained down at the local council on Upper Street.
Accessed off Theberton Street, there is a wonderful selection of restaurants and bars on the doorstep, with an Italian, French bistro, Turkish, Thai, Japanese Fusion and of course our very own Portico office lining the Georgian road. Here you will find a great mix of young professionals who are drawn to the vibrant Islington area, with Upper Street providing plenty of fine dining and boutique bars and families looking for the long list of well-established schools that the area has to offer.
Transport links here are also excellent, with Highbury & Islington station providing links on both the Victoria Line (London Underground) and the London Overground, Angel station with access to the Northern Line and the large bus network that gives resident’s access to all parts of London.
