Wynford Road is a small tree lined street close to Regent Canal, tucked quietly away off Caledonian Road in Islington. Properties are mainly flats in purpose built developments and are well-presented throughout. In addition to the purpose built properties, there’s also a good selection of period conversions along the road. The leafy green play areas and tall trees overhanging the street add to the overall feel.
From Monday to Friday it is residents permit parking only here during the day, with restrictions in place from 8:30am and 6:30pm. The same limits apply for Saturdays, although the hours are reduced until 1:30pm. For the most part residents use either King’s Cross Underground and St. Pancras or Angel tube station for their daily commutes.
The immediate area is full of professionals, both couples and singles, and small families making this a particularly friendly neighbourhood to live. Being located so close to the canal you will often find runners and people taking their dogs for a stroll in the area. There’s also a number of schools nearby, with Vittoria Primary School and Hannover Playschool just around the corner, and the open green spaces of Barnard Park is only a short stroll from Wynford Road.
The transport links nearby make this a convenient place to live, but so do the amenities. There’s a local grocery and minimart on the street, but for larger shops there are a number of supermarkets within walking distance. Caledonian Road provides a variety of food options, and the popular Upper Street is a 10 minute walk away.
