Chris is one of our marvellous Portico handymen.

As anyone who lives in London knows, it is often difficult to find cost effective tradesmen who carry out work to a high standard and turn up when they say they will. That’s exactly why decided to hand pick our own team, and we’re proud to be able to deliver consistently excellent levels of maintenance as a result.

One of the unique things about our service to landlords on the concierge package is that we offer a free maintenance service between tenancies. Chris explains:

"We run through a check list which includes things like fixing dripping taps, clearing sink blockages and replacing any defective light bulbs. We also do the jobs that tenants sometimes overlook like cleaning the filters on the washing machine and dishwasher and topping up the water pressure in your boiler."

But it is not just landlords that benefit.

When selling your property, we know for a fact that scuffed paintwork, loose floorboards and disintegrating grout puts buyers offer. Equally, even minor cracks in walls can deter surveyors. So for vendors taking the Concierge package, we provide up to three days of handyman labour to make sure that your property really sparkles before viewings begin.

"On our last job we repainted the kitchen using a really tasteful shade of Farrow and Ball which changed the feel of the entire flat. Equally, there’s usually something we can do to spruce up the bathrooms, either in terms of grouting, silicon sealants or even changing the loo seat."
