We have seen an incredible start to the year with an increase in both the number of sales and lettings agreed over the first quarter. This bodes well for the remainder of 2017 as we are yet to hit our historically busy period during the summer months.
We expect activity to pick up even more so after the General Election on June 8th.
What’s going on in the area?
•Walthamstow appeals to many demographics; the easy commute and nightlife appeals to young professional tenants and first-time buyers, while the array of Outstanding/Excellent rated schools appeal to young families looking for a ‘forever home.’ Both tenants and buyers are starting to see Walthamstow as offering fantastic value for money in comparison to neighbouring boroughs. 1-bedroom flats typically start from around £275,000 and 1-bedroom flats to rent start around £1,100 per month.
•The area is a hotspot for independently owned shops, bars and restaurants, this being most noticeable around The Village area (where you’ll find Eat17 – famous for their Bacon Jam). There is also plenty to keep residents entertained at the weekend, from The William Morris gallery situated in Lloyd Park to the Vestry House museum that is situated in Walthamstow Village.
•The recent introduction of the Night Tube is also a bonus for the weekend night owls!
