Property Description

Perfectly located on a quiet cul de sac within the desirable Bakers Arms area of Walthamstow, this wonderful three-bedroom mid terrace Victorian Home offers tremendous kerb appeal from the moment you walk up the path. As you walk through the door, you’ll be greeted by a capacious lounge diner measuring in excess of 7m (24 ft) and is flooded with natural light. The stripped wood floors and feature fire place finish the room perfectly. This leads to a modern fitted kitchen at the rear and on to the well maintained south facing garden. The first floor offers three generous sized bedrooms, all of which have stripped wooden floors, along with a well-presented modern family bathroom. We strongly advise an early viewing to fully appreciate this superb home.

Living Here... - Just a hop, skip and a jump from Bakers Arms, the location of this fantastic home is hard to beat. It’s perfectly positioned for the morning commute, with Walthamstow Central station a gentle stroll away for Overground and Tube services, plus plenty of bus services whizzing down Lea Bridge Road direct into the City.

It’s also perfectly placed when work is over and the weekend comes around. How about wandering up to Hoe Street and catching a movie at The Empire? Or maybe something to eat the totally amazing Hornbeam café is at the end of your road – perfect! If you’re meeting friends, then where better than over at pint at the William the Fourth, where you can also grab fantastic grub too, or hop across Hoe Street and up to the Village, which is a few minutes walk away.

If all that sounds too much, relax on a bench in Thomas Gamuel Park or at Hollow Ponds with an ice cream and watch the world go by…

In This Area - By Walthamstow Diary - Bakers Arms is named after the pub of the same name which stood on the junction of Lea Bridge Road and Hoe Street. The building survives but the pub has long since closed. Happily, the Bakers Alms Houses, which the pub was named after, still survive. The alms houses can be found just around the corner on Lea Bridge Road. Built by the Master Bakers Benevolent institution in 1857, they are a grand architectural reminder of times past. On the other side of Lea Bridge Road you’ll find the King William the IVth, which is now a thriving local gastro pub. Further up Hoe Street is the incredible Hornbeam Café, a great spot to enjoy fresh, locally produced food. The Hornbeam also host live music and film nights. This end of Hoe Street links Walthamstow to Leyton and has good transport links (bus to Clapton in 10 minutes, Hackney in 15 minutes, Walthamstow Central station within easy walking distance). It’s also the shortest of short strolls from what is now the dining and socialising epicentre of Walthamstow, the Village.
