Orford Road is widely considered to be the Hub of The Village with the main shops, pubs and eateries all located on this small stretch of road which has recently been pedestrianised to allow al fresco dining and pop up markets to appear at the weekend. The entire Village areas is a designated Conversation zone, and features many sites of Historical interest including St Marys Church and Vestry House Museum . Evelyn Road is conveniently located within a few minutes walk to Wood Street station which offers a short 15 minute commute directly into Liverpool Street, or just one stop to Walthamstow Central.
Wood street offers an array of small independent shops including the popular Victorian indoor market and the organic fruit and veg shop, there are a number of popular pubs including the Duke – especially if you like live music
Walthamstow Central is just a one stop away on the train and offers Victoria line and Overground services, as well as the night Tube at the weekends. Walthamstow Mall offers a range of high street brands and supermarkets, Walthamstow market is still believed to be the longest Street market in Europe and there is also a Farmer market on a Sunday morning – offering lovely fresh seasonal Produce
