There seems to be a lot of debate over whether Romford sits in London or Essex, the large town is in the London Borough of Havering, somewhat settling that debate. Romford is one of Mayor Sadiq Khan's 30 housing zones set to receive financial investment of nearly £35 million from the Greater London Authority. With this influx of finance to the town, the hope is to build more than 3,000 new homes and provide 7,000 new jobs. Romford is well-connected with eight trains an hour taking between 17-31 minutes, but unlike many towns on the outskirts of London, there is no need to head into the city to find the action, Romford has you covered, with an electric nightlife, several large shopping malls and plenty of places to eat.

South Greenford 5%
South Greenford is situated in the London borough of Ealing and has been noted as an up-and-coming hotspot for those looking for more affordable house prices with a reasonable commute and community feel within your surroundings. Similar to the rest of London, South Greenford's streets are lined with Victorian properties. A few years ago the area received funding to improve roads, crossings, and shop fronts, giving the small town some much-needed love. There are several main reasons why people want to live in South Greenford; an easy commute - be at London Paddington in just 32 minutes; direct trains to Heathrow from Greenford; plenty of green spaces and a range of properties to suit budgets and style, with many new builds that have popped up mixed between the Victorian properties.
Previously we've looked at Morden Park, now we're seeing what Morden itself has to offer. There are many things that make Morden great, and it isn't just that you'll be first on the Northern Line and guaranteed a seat - although this is already a massive bonus in our eyes. So why else do people want to live in Morden, the average property prices in Morden are much lower than neighbouring towns such as tooting; average prices in Morden stand at around £400,000. Morden benefits from some beautiful parks, such as Morden Hall Park, perfect for soaking up the last summer rays or for crisp winter walks. The area has been awarded funding to create further homes, plus there are plans to redesign the high street.
