The Best London Parks To Rent Near This Autumn

November 11, 2021

With shades of red, orange and gold lining the streets of London and the crunch of leaves underfoot, walking around the capital in the midst of autumn is particularly magical. But while there are many beautiful sights to take in, it’s the capital’s parks that offer some of the most spectacular seasonal views.

London is home to a huge network of parks and green spaces; since the first lockdown, there has been a surge in requests for properties close to parks with priorities shifting and many wanting to move to have their favourite park on their doorstep. Here are some of the best London parks to consider renting near this autumn.

Battersea Park

Average rental price for a 2-bedroom property: £1,950 pm

Average house price: £701,228 (26% down since 2019)

This beautiful 200 acre park in Battersea is a Victorian space teeming with history, and it’s a mystery as to why it hasn’t been more predominantly featured in the hierarchy of London parks in the past. The London Peace Pagoda is particularly impressive - a stunning Buddhist temple erected as part of a Japanese Buddhist order to build pagodas around the world to promote peace after the atomic bomb at Hiroshima. The park also offers beautiful river views and a boating lake, sculptures, an art gallery and cafe, both a sub-tropical and an Old English garden, an adventure playground and more.

Shame the coverage for South London appears nominal here. Greenwich Park and Richmond being the most famous and featured, but how about Battersea too And as for nearby areas in West London providing easy access to Greenwich Greenwich is in South East London! And the national rail service for the Greenwich line stopped its service into Charing Cross (for West London) even a year or two ago, leaving only London Bridge and Cannon Street. ideal for the city, but not those in the West. Sorry, guys, you need a copywriter who isnt so North London centric. We Southerners might take offence! (but were too laid back for that down here out in the sticks haha.)
