£10 off your first hair or beauty treatment Monday - Friday
Hairdressers really are miracle workers. I arrived at Ena Salon feeling like The Yedi and strutted out an hour later with sleeker tresses than Kimmy K’s. And you can expect a similar miraculous transformation whether you’re getting your barnet, nails or eyebrows done; Ena was voted one of the top five beauty salons in London by Tatler last year, so they really do know what they’re doing. Here’s my lowdown on my new fave salon:
Ena Salon stands tall on Great Queen Street, nestled in between the hustle and bustle of Holborn and Covent Garden. The building itself is a stunning, sprawling Georgian townhouse spread over four floors, and the team have done a wonderful job of making it feel like a home away from home: sweet baby photos of staff are dotted around the place, there are cosy period fireplaces on every floor and the stained glass creates the most beautiful spectrum of colour as the sun pours through the windows.
I was warmly greeted by Ausra who gave me a quick tour of the salon. There’s a stylish blow-dry bar downstairs, a spacious hair colour zone on the second floor, and a relaxing beauty treatment room on the third floor. They even run an Educational Academy from the top floor, which means that each member of staff has gone through the highest level of education.
I had booked a treatment and blow-dry, so headed to the second floor to meet Woody. I totally relaxed as he washed my hair and started the Davines purifying treatment - which smelt absolutely amazing and aimed to rebalance the scalp and leave hair looking and feeling healthy. Ena is the UK flagship salon for Davines - a sustainable and eco-friendly brand that aligns perfectly with their core values.
The treatment was left in place for around 10 minutes, but gorgeous ceiling paintings, a frothy cappuccino and a homemade brownie kept me entertained. When the time was up, Woody washed my hair and we headed downstairs to the blow-dry bar.
Ena is the kind of place you could visit for a complete restyle, or just your regular trim. Woody and I chatted while he blow-dried my hair, he was super-friendly, down-to-earth and really listened to what I wanted. For such an amazing, luxurious salon there’s not even a whiff of pretension from the talented staff, and I left with beautiful bouncy curls, gorgeous full volume and shiny, healthy locks. I think I’ve found a new hairdresser!
