Bloomsbury gives musicians a chance to perform

October 22, 2013

Foote’s Music are pleased to announce that the Icarus Club is coming to Foote’s for lunchtime Acoustic Open Mic sessions at the Store Street in Bloomsbury.

Started in 2007, The Icarus Club runs weekly at venues across South London providing a forum for original songwriters to perform their work in a conducive, acoustic setting. Footes started the lunchtime sessions in early October on the first Wednesday of every month.

Rob Wilson of Foote’s, London’s famous music store, comments: “We’re really looking forward to this collaboration – helping to promote new artists in the heart of the West End.”

If you’re an established or aspiring musician and want to perform please email artists@icarusclub.co.uk. Everyone is welcome to either watch or play.

“Store Street in Bloomsbury is a real community spot for those living and working in the area,” says Wesley Ellis, manager at the Bloomsbury branch of lettings agent Edmund Cude. “As well as a interesting array of shops and eateries, there are lots of events planned to engage locals.”
